5000D Airflow vs 5000D Core Airflow: What's the difference?

Two very similar product names, but there are some differences here. So, to help avoid confusion, here's all the differences between the 5000D Airflow, and the 5000D Core Airflow.

The CORSAIR 5000D Core Airflow gives you the essential features of the 5000D Airflow, but at a more affordable price. We made sure to keep the most important features while removing those you may not need for your build. After all, many pro builders out there often discard everything that comes with the case in favour of their own curated choices of hardware.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED - NOTHING YOU DON'T

You still get maximum cooling potential by allowing up to 10x 120mm or 4x 140mm fans along with multiple radiators up to 360mm in the front/side as well as a 360mm radiator in the top (The CORSAIR iCUE LINK AIOs and Hydro X products would fit very well here). The front panel I/O also matches the 5000D Airflow by offering a USB 3.2 Type-C (Gen 2) port as well as 2x USB 3.2 Type-A (Gen 1) ports. There is also a 3.5mm headphone/mic combo jack and a power and reset button. For 2.5" SSDs, we still have the three mounting trays and for a tidy cable management the RapidRoute cable management system is also still available to you within the 25mm deep cable routing bay behind the motherboard tray.

SO WHAT HAVE WE CHANGED FROM THE 5000D AIRFLOW?

We removed the 2 standard 120mm fans along with the fan screws, the PWM repeater, the side fan cover plate, the HDD cage and trays, the HDD screws, the HDD side tray, the 90 degree USB 3.0 connector, and one of the PSU cover extensions that would cover the side fans. There is also no door panel to cover the cable compartment behind the motherboard tray.

WHAT IF YOU WANT SOME PARTS ANYWAY?

The good news is that you can still purchase spare parts directly from our webstore. if you later decide that you want to add a 3.5” HDD (black or white) to your build, just buy the cage and the trays you need and install them as the mounting points are still available to you. The same is applicable to all available other parts.

This is just a quick example for available parts, but there is more. Here is a selected list of parts that you may want to purchase:
