We have recently discovered an issue with one of our production lines affecting select SKUs of DOMINATOR PLATINUMRGB DDR5 and VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 memory kits. This issue causes the memory kits to not be detected in iCUE, making it impossible to control their RGB lighting; the kits will still boot and operate as normal.
Affected kits were only manufactured between August 31 to September 21, 2022, and all impacted kits have been removed from sale as of October 8, 2022. If you purchased CORSAIR memory before the time period or after October 8, you are not impacted.
Though the affected stock in question represents only a small percentage of our production, we take the quality of our memory products very seriously and are proactively replacing all DRAM modules.
We have listed the affected SKUs and lot codes below.
NOTE: If you use AMD's X670 platform, you may encounter a similar problem where the memory does not show up in iCUE, even if the memory kit is not part of the affected code lot. This is because of an interaction with the AMD Thunderbolt drivers, and we are currently investigating this issue. If your kit is not part of the affected lot codes, try verifying if disabling the Thunderbolt drivers temporarily resolves the issue.
If you need to use Thunderbolt, you can set a hardware profile in iCUE for the memory while the drivers are disabled, then re-enable Thunderbolt. We are working with our partners to rectify this detection issue as soon as possible.
