CORSAIR NAUTILUS RS and RS ARGB AIOs: Everything you need to know

The CORSAIR NAUTILUS RS and NAUTILUS RS ARGB AIOs are our latest CPU coolers, packing plenty of features into their svelte form without dominating your build budget.

The quick takeaways from these new coolers are the efficient, low-noise pump, inclusion of the RS120 fans and the fact that you don’t need a separate controller as they plug directly into your motherboard. These new coolers are available with and without RGB LEDs, fitting perfectly with the rest of your setup. They’re also available with 240mm or 360mm radiators.

As you would expect from a modern AIO CPU cooler, the NAUTILUS RS Series supports the very latest processors from Intel and AMD, and that includes support for LGA 1851 as well as LGA 1700 sockets, as well as AMD AM5 and AM4 platforms straight out of the box.

NAUTILUS RS coolers are available in sultry black, while the NAUTILUS RS ARGB versions are available in black and white. The latter comes decked out with RGB LEDs, with eight LEDs in the pump cap and eight of the little blighters in each of the fans as well. If you want to add a splash of color to your PC, then this is a great way of doing it.

That’s it. You’re done. Oh, you want more? Very well, let’s pull out the specs table:

Efficient and Quiet Pumps

The NAUTILUS RS Series features a slightly convex cold plate which helps ensure it has optimal contact with the top of your processor’s integrated heat spreader. This cold plate comes with pre-applied thermal paste to help you getting everything up and running that much quicker and cleaner too.

As mentioned in the opener, these new coolers use low-noise pumps, keeping the coolant circulating at a whisper quiet 20 dBA. Continuing this quiet theme, the RS120 and RS120 ARGB fans support Zero RPM PWM control to bring the fans to a full stop at low temperatures, eliminating the fan noise completely. Alternatively, if you want to cool a beast of a CPU, then you can push the fan speeds up to 2,100 RPM using your motherboard’s PWM control.

RS120 and RS120 ARGB Fans

There’s another plus with these fans though, and that’s their support for daisy-chained connections. Connect each of the fans together, and then connect a single 4-pin cable to your PWM fan header on your motherboard for a neater build. The same is true for ARGB lighting as well, simply connect the ARGB cables together and then connect the first cable to your motherboard’s +5V ARGB header and you’re good to go. Much cleaner.

In case you don’t eagerly follow every new fan release, it’s worth highlighting that RS fan blades are optimized to offer high static pressure, making them ideal for pushing air through a radiator. These fans also feature AirGuide technology to focus the flow of air, and Magnetic Dome bearings to keep noise levels lower. You can find out more about the advantages of Magnetic Dome bearings in this article.

iCUE Software Compatibility

These are ARGB fans, but you can still add support for CORSAIR iCUE with the addition of a separate controller, such as with the CORSAIR COMMANDER CORE XT. Adding a controller will offer up far more advanced lighting options and more control over your pump in iCUE software, so if that’s something you’re looking to do, it’s a potential upgrade in the future.
