NVIDIA is now launching two more cards in the RTX 50 series, the RTX 5070 Ti and the RTX 5070. The major new DLSS features like multi frame generation exclusive to the RTX50 series will also be found on these models, but certain hardware elements will be scaled down to make them more affordable.
Let's compare the specifications of these two new cards.

As you will have noticed, two specs have been sufficiently reduced between the two cards to have an impact on performance. The number of CUDA cores is reduced by around 30% between the RTX5070 Ti and the RTX 5070, and the second concerns the amount of memory available, which drops from 16GB for the RTX5070 Ti to 12GB for the RTX 5070.
These differences have a major impact on the performances, and the reduction in memory and Cuda cores should place the RTX5070 in a particularly attractive price/performance position for all 1080p configurations.
The RTX 5070Ti's 16GB should enable it to use 4K resolution with a few concessions and more fluidly at 2K resolution than its little sister.
Unlike the energy-hungry RTX 5090, both cards return to more usual values, with 300W for the RTX5070Ti and 250W for the RTX 5070.
Some OC models are likely to see an increase in power consumption, but the presence of the 12V-2x6 connector leaves plenty of room for this to happen.
The RTX5070 Ti and 5070 do not benefit from the FE design as was the case with previous generations.
This means that each manufacturer will offer one or more SKUs with coolers of their own design.
You'll therefore find coolers where the length could reach almost 360mm for the longer one and occupying 2 / 2.5 / 3 or even 3.5 slots, that will result with different levels of efficiency and noise.
