FRAME 4000D Series: Everything You Need to Know

The FRAME 4000D Series of cases redefines our 4000D Series with enhancements and customizability that will amaze. A modular approach that offers multiple features to build your PC exactly the way you want it. Three different options, each available in black or white, let you choose the style you want.

The FRAME 4000D is available with no fans at all, or with three airflow-optimized RS fans, or finally, if you crave RGB lighting, there is also a version with RS ARGB fans that you can simply plug into your compatible motherboard and control the fans with the included software. If you want to add the powerful CORSAIR iCUE Software to the mix, just add a controller like the COMMANDER CORE XT and control the fan speeds and RGB lighting directly in iCUE.

The FRAME 4000D series is a mid-tower PC case that serves as an ideal starting point for your next build. Buildability, compatibility, performance, and customization are all in this beautiful package ready for you to play, work, and create with your custom built PC.

FRAME means modularity for how your build looks

frame4000_parts

Interchangeable side and front panels are a given these days, but upgradeable I/O ports, PSU covers, and motherboard trays elevate the FRAME 4000D Series to a new level. This gives you the ability to personalize your case with parts that have different colors, materials, or designs. Customization is what we had in mind when we built this case, and your imagination is the only limit when it comes to making your PC look exactly the way you want it to.

FRAME means modularity for your cooling options – Infinirail in detail

FRAME_4000D_Black_Artboard05_AA

The Infinirail fan mounting system allows you to quickly adjust fan size compatibility on the front and top of the FRAME 4000D case. There are two steel brackets that can be adjusted in position to accommodate a range of fan sizes on the front and top. Installing fans is easy and convenient, and if you need to change fan sizes, you can do so effortlessly.

To use Infinirail, all you have to do is loosen two screws per rail and adjust the position to match the fan size you are using. You have one rail at the top and two at the front.

Radiator and fan compatibility

FRAME_4000D_Black_Artboard06_AA

The front of the FRAME 4000D Series can accommodate 3x 120mm fans, 2x 140mm fans, or even 2x 200mm fans. The top can fit 3x 120mm, 2x 140mm, or 2x 160mm fans. All you need to do is loosen a few screws, move the Infinirails to the desired position and tighten them again.

Aside from mounting fans to cool your precious components, radiator support is equally important, and that is why you can mount up to two 360mm radiators in either the front, top, or side. Mounting a large AIO with a 360mm radiator, such as the CORSAIR iCUE TITAN 360 RX LCD, is a very simple task.

For custom cooling enthusiasts there are openings for fill and drain ports located on the top and bottom of the case.

Airflow-optimized 3D Y-Pattern front panel

FRAME_4000D_BLACK_RENDER_18

The 3D front panel design optimizes airflow by minimizing constriction and allowing more air to pass through. This ensures your components get the cool air they need to perform at their best.

The snap-on front panel can be easily changed to match your style. CORSAIR will be offering new designs in the future, so stay tuned to see what we have in store for you to customize the look of your FRAME 4000D.

Builder-Friendly Features

cutout_eps

Quality of life features, such as the generous cutout for connecting EPS power after you have installed your cooler in the top of the case, are just one of the many ways the FRAME 4000D improves the build experience.

Mounting the PSU is also simple. Two screws are pre-installed, so all you need to do is insert the PSU into the case and secure it with the two screws. If you move your PC often, it is recommended to use the remaining screws.

The bottom side panel has two options for defining how your build looks. You can either use the pre-installed translucent one, or you can change it to a black one to block the light.

antisag_optional

The FRAME 4000D comes with a mini GPU anti-sag bracket that can be used with standard ATX and smaller motherboards. If you use side fans, you will lose the adjustable GPU anti-sag feature. E-ATX is not supported because the board is too wide.

Vertical GPU support

Switching the GPU to vertical is quick and easy. You'll need to buy a PCIe 4.0 x16 riser cable, then you just need to loosen two screws for the expansion slot bracket and rotate it.

Front I/O connectors

No case would be complete without a fully decked out front I/O panel. The USB Type-C, USB Type-A, audio combo jack, power switch, power LED, and reset switch use standard connectors on your motherboard.

There will be optional front I/O ports available for direct purchase that will bring new features to the table. Stay tuned for more information as these become available.

FRAME is all about customization and we have some exciting things on the horizon. In addition to parts that will be available for direct purchase, there will be a resource of 3D printable files that you can use to further customize your build.

Above you can see what building with the FRAME 4000D looks like. We have used iCUE LINK RX120 RGB fans throughout the case. For the CPU cooler we chose the iCUE LINK TITAN 360 RX LCD Liquid CPU Cooler and mounted it at the top. The power supply is the RM1000x SHIFT 80 PLUS Gold Fully Modular ATX Power Supply, which gives us plenty of headroom for future upgrades.

Adding another trio of fans is also easy. All you need to do is remove the cable shroud cover which is held in place with a single screw and install the included side fan mount for three additional fans. Here we decided to install the iCUE LINK LX120-R RGB 120mm PWM Reverse Fans. Everything is connected via the iCUE LINK SMART COMPONENT ECOSYSTEM, which makes the installation of additional fans quick and easy.
