With the RMx Shift series of power supplies we have introduced added comfort when building and upgrading your system. This is done by moving the modular connectivity panel to the side of the power supply unit.
You may wonder, if the RMx Shift can be used in the FRAME 4000D. The answer is yes, and here's how.
As you can see, there is ample space behind the motherboard tray for cable management. Even more so for the power supply unit, as this one sits a bit further back in the power supply bay.
Slide it in from the side and use the two mounting screws already placed conveniently at the back of the FRAME 4000D to secure it. For added security, you can install the screws shipped with the power supply unit. This is important, if you frequently lug your system around.
Connecting cables to the power supply is easy. No more reaching into the case and trying to plug in additional cables when upgrading your system.
Another benefit of the RMx Shift is that cable management is super convenient, and when you upgrade your graphics card or add other components like an SSD or two, you will be back up and running in no time. Simply connect the cables you need, route them to the component and you’re done.
If you're curious, many PC cases from other companies are also fully compatible with the RMx SHIFT PSUs. Read our article on how to verify the fit for more details
