Upgrading RAM / SSD in a CORSAIR ONE

As stated initially, CORSAIR ONE is a pre-built computer system that arrives fully assembled, configured, and tested. This makes it a practical option for many users, particularly those who prefer easy and uncomplicated PC solutions. Additionally, the system comes with pre-installed software, drivers, and necessary utilities, which saves time and effort that would have been spent on manual installations. SO, HOW DO YOU UPGRADE CORSAIR ONE'S SSD AND MEMORY?

In this guide, we will use the CORSAIR ONE i300 model to show you how easily upgrading its SSD and Memory is.

UPGRADING THE SSD IN THE CORSAIR ONE

Before we get into the step-by-step process, let’s briefly touch on the advantages of upgrading SSD or PC storage.

If you’re constantly running out of space for your files and applications, upgrading your HDD or SSD to a larger storage capacity is a great way to increase your PC’s performance. More storage allows you to store more files, giving you more free space for the latest applications or operating systems.

  1. Press the rear release button at the back of CORSAIR ONE for the top fan assembly to come off.

2. While pressing the release button, carefully lift out the top fan assembly.

3. Disconnect the fan cable.

4. Using a Philips Screwdriver, remove the two securing the left side panel while holding the side panel in place.

5. Lay the CORSAIR ONE on a flat surface.

NOTE: Use a soft towel to prevent scratches.

6. Carefully lift the side panel away from the CORSAIR ONE chassis.

7. Locate the M.2 SSD, then remove the screw that is holding the drive in place.

8. Gently lift out the M.2 SSD from the motherboard M.2 slot.

9. Place the new M.2 SSD. When inserting the new drive, align the notch on the drive with the notch in the M.2 slot.

10. Secure the M.2 SSD in place with a screw.

11. Replace the side panel and secure to the CORSAIR ONE chassis with two screws.

12. Reconnect the top fan cable.

13. Install the top fan assembly. Make sure to align the peg on the fan assembly with the rear release button.

And there you have it. You’ve just upgraded/replaced CORSAIR ONE’s SSD.

UPGRADING THE RAM IN THE CORSAIR ONE

Replacing or upgrading a PC's memory is one of the easiest and most common hardware upgrades many PC owners do. The process can be completed in just a few minutes and requires no tools besides a regular Phillips screwdriver. Upgrading RAM is a hassle-free way to increase the performance of your PC.

  1. Repeat the same process above from steps 1 to 6
  2. Locate the memory slots in the CORSAIR ONE.
  3. Open the holding clips securing each module in the memory slot.

  1. Carefully pull the memory up and out of each memory slot.
  2. When inserting new memory modules, align the module's gap with the memory slot's notch.
  3. Gently press down until the module slides into the slot. When properly seated, the holding clips will automatically close and lock the module in place.

NOTE: DO NOT force the module into the memory slot if it's not locking quickly. Double-check the notches and make sure the module's gap is aligned with the memory slot's notch.

7. To place the side panel back, follow the steps above from 11 to 13.

As simple as that: you have just upgraded/replaced your CORSAIR ONE RAM.
