How to update iCUE: Step by step guide

How to update iCUE in 6 easy steps

Of course, you’ll get a notification every time we release a new update for iCUE. However, we understand that modern computers mercilessly and constantly throw notifications at you, so you might have missed it. So, let’s do it manually.

  1. Open iCUE.
  2. Click the gear icon in the top right to open the settings menu.
  3. Click the “Software Updates” tab.
  4. Click the button marked “Check for Updates”.
  5. iCUE itself, along with any other modules you have will check for updates. If there’s an update available, it will be downloaded and installed.
  6. Close everything down and restart the computer to complete the installation.

I downloaded iCUE and it didn’t update? Why?

Clicking the download link from our main website is only for new installations, so it won’t update or replace your existing version of iCUE. The steps we listed earlier are the only correct way to update iCUE to the latest version.
