The CORSAIR ONE i500 has a single PCIe x4 expansion slot available for your upgrades. This single height slot can accommodate expansion cards such as the Elgato 4K PRO capture card or 10 Gbit network cards.
For best fit, the length of the card should be less than 7 inches (18 cm).
Opening the CORSAIR ONE i500 is very simple. First, make sure your system is shut down, the power is off, and all cables are disconnected from the system. Caution: When handling electronics, work in a clean, well-lit environment and ground yourself before touching parts such as motherboards and SSDs, as they can be sensitive to electrical discharge.
Remove the magnetically attached dust filter by pulling it away from the side panel and store it in a safe place. Use the PH1 Phillips screwdriver to remove the two screws holding the side panel in place and store them in a safe place. The side panel is held in place by two clips located at the top edges. Grasp each edge and pull the side panel away from the CORSAIR ONE i500. Once free, you can lift the panel away from the i500 and store it in a safe place.
There are four screws that hold the power supply shield and the bottom fan assembly in place and must be removed. Store these screws in a safe place.
Once the screws are removed, carefully rotate the assembly outward by grasping the top and place it next to the case. Be careful: There is a cable attached to the assembly that powers the fan. It is advisable to disconnect it and store the assembly in a safe place until reinstalled.
The expansion cards are held in place by a bracket. You must remove the second screw from the top to remove the bracket.
The PCIe slot has a metal cover that must be removed from the case and discarded. Carefully move the liquid cooling hoses out of the way to push down the retaining clip on the right edge of the PCIe slot, then install the card. Reinstall the bracket holding the cards in place with the screw you undid in the previous step.
You have completed the installation of a PCIe expansion card in your CORSAIR ONE i500. Now put everything back together and you are almost done.
Reinstall the power supply shield and fan assembly, but remember to reconnect the fan's power connector before sliding it into place and tightening the four screws.
Replace the side panel by tightening the two screws and replace the dust filter on the CORSAIR ONE i500. You can now plug everything back in and the system is ready to use.
