NVIDIA Driver 566.03 and CORSAIR iCUE problem explained

Black Ops 6 players are experiencing issues with iCUE after updating their NVIDIA Game Ready Drivers to version 566.03. These drivers are designed to ensure top performance with Black Ops 6 on NVIDIA GPUs, however, there has been a problematic side effect.

Unfortunately, the Venn diagram of Black Ops 6 PC players and iCUE users has some considerable overlap. Plus of course, there are many who keep their drivers up to date regardless of which games they're buying in the name of best practice. So, a lot of people are experiencing the resultant issue. That issue being that the NVIDIA drivers are causing iCUE to use up way too much CPU power.

The same problem is happening to users of BlueStacks, a program that allows users to run Android applications on PC. Just like iCUE, it has all of a sudden started to ride the CPU way harder that it should.

To be clear, this is an issue on NVIDIA’s side, caused by the 566.03 drivers and they have confirmed that they’re aware of the problem and working on a fix to get the CPU usage back where it should be.

Until they release said patch, the only way to fix this issue to roll back the NVIDIA Game Ready Driver to version 561.09. This version has no issues with iCUE and your CPU usage will revert back to normal levels. Once NVIDIA creates a fix, you can re-update the Drivers to the latest version and enjoy Black Ops 6 and iCUE without issue.
