The FRAME 4000D is slightly larger than the 4000D. It is 9mm wider, 37mm longer and 20mm higher. This allows for more space for fans, coolers and GPUs, like the new NVIDIA 50-Series.
The 4000D can fit a maximum of a 280mm radiator in the top, while the FRAME 4000D can also fit a 360mm radiator, which allows for a more effective cooling. The latter also adds the ability to mount a radiator or fans on the side of the case, which is not available on the 4000D series. So if you need maximum cooling capacity or want to build a compact custom cooled rig with multiple radiators, the FRAME 4000D is the right choice.
The FRAME 4000D's Infinirail mounting system allows you to easily adjust fan size compatibility to accommodate even dual 200mm fans in the front. While the 4000D can easily support multiple fans, the front can only handle two 140mm fans as the maximum configuration.
