How to update the AMD video driver on CORSAIR Voyager a1600 Gaming Laptop.

If you've purchased the CORSAIR Voyager a1600 Gaming Laptop and would like to update its video driver correctly, we have all the information you need right here.

It's worth starting by saying: It is not recommended to download the AMD driver that is found on AMD’s website. AMD Advantage laptops, such as your CORSAIR VOYAGER, require a unique driver specifically designed for your laptop. This driver is intended for your laptop to ensure everything works in unison and at peak performance.

AMD drivers should only be downloaded from the CORSAIR website or via Windows Update. The latest driver will be available on the CORSAIR website before they are available via Windows Update. Installing the driver from the AMD website may introduce system instability and potential performance impacts/issues.

INSTALLING THE AMD VIDEO DRIVER

• If you have installed the driver from the AMD website, it is recommended that you uninstall this driver first.
  
• To uninstall the AMD drivers, navigate to the Windows search bar and look up “Add or Remove Program” within Windows, as this is the recommended method for uninstallation.

• Locate “AMD Software” and click on the vertical “…” where you’ll be prompted with the “Uninstall” option. You do not have to do anything with “AMD Chipset Software.” At the end of the uninstallation process, please restart your VOYAGER to complete the uninstallation fully.

• After restarting your VOYAGER, please navigate to “corsair.com/downloads,” where you’ll be able to download & install the latest AMD drivers.
