CORSAIR 12V-2x6 90 Degree Angled GPU Power Cable: Everything you need to know

Today, we’re introducing the CORSAIR 12v-2x6 90-degree GPU power cables, the perfect finishing touch to any gaming PC. This is a compact, elegant, and reliable solution to help you keep your build tidy, while avoiding problematically tight bends or using an adapter. This GPU power cable comes in six variants, so it’ll almost certainly work regardless of your PC configuration. Let’s take a look.

Any Way You Want It

The purpose of this cable is to take the notoriously incorrigible 12V-2x6 connection, made even more challenging due to the size of modern GPUs, and make it easier to manage. Whether you have a 12V-2x6 port on your PSU, want it to go over, or under the GPU, this cable is the solution.

Firstly, we’ve made the cables super flexible, so you can get them in, around, over, or under obtrusive components without fear of squishing the wires within. Once you’ve got it into position, the four included adjustable cable combs let you fine-tune the look and curve of the cable along its entire 600mm (25-inch) length.

Additionally, due to the built-in 90-degree bend, the cable extends from the GPU only as much as is necessary. This is helpful in all scenarios but especially useful for small form factor cases or the tallest of GPUs. With this cable, you’re far less likely to encounter issues with the side panel during cable management.

Of course, not all power supplies have the same specifications, so the 90-degree 12v-2x6 cables that we’re making either terminate in a CORSAIR Type-4 or Type-5 connection, or that same 12v-2x6 connection on the GPU side of the cable.

That’s three different terminations, and each of these three options is available with either a “Style A” or “Style B” connection on the GPU side. This simply refers to which side of the cable the retaining clip is located, determining whether the 90-degree bend points up or down.

You’ll need to take a look at which way the port on your GPU is oriented, then match it with the image below, so you’ll know which one you would need to buy.

Style A cables have the retaining clip on the outer side of the 90-degree bend, Style B cables have the clip on the inner side of the 90-degree bend.

It is essential to note that you should never mix and match power supply cables unless you are 100% sure you know what you’re doing. So, only use the Type-4 angled power cable with Type-4 CORSAIR PSUs, and the same applies to Type-5.

However, if your PSU features a 12V-2x6 port, you can safely use that variant of this cable with that PSU, regardless of the brand.

If your GPU uses a 12V-2x6 port, then this cable will work. However, it is important to note that some GPUs have this port recessed into the card, and you should never bend the connector itself. The cables are flexible, the connector is not.

Since this angled cable is designed to have a tight 90-degree corner to save space and look great, it may directly conflict with the cooler, backplate, or PCB of the GPU if the port on the GPU is recessed too far.
