The K65 PRO MINI is our first foray into the 65% keyboard space and we’re super excited to show you why the it should be your next compact gaming weapon. Speaking of compact, let’s take a look at why the 65% form factor might just be perfect for you.

Where full-size is a safe haven for traditionalists who dislike the idea of losing any functionality, and 60% is for the purists who love memorizing shortcuts, the 65% occupies a position in the middle, closer to 60%, obviously.

However, despite only having a few more keys than a 60% keyboard, the specific keys you gain are worth more than the sum of their parts: The arrow keys are invaluable for navigating a Word document, for instance, and there’s underrated comfort and convenience from having a dedicated delete key, which is usually relegated to a keyboard shortcut. Additionally, those of you chained to small desks, might find even a TKL keyboard to be prohibitively wide, eating too much valuable mouse real estate.

There’s more to like, too. We’ve outfitted the K65 PRO MINI with our OPX mechanical keyswitches. These are our best so far for gaming performance, allowing you to react more quickly. In the heat of the moment, mobility is key, which is why we’ve designed the OPX switches as such, so, let’s take a look.

The first difference you’ll notice is how fast your keypress is registered, which is due to the 1.0mm actuation distance. Couple that with the 3.2mm total travel and you have a mercilessly rapid switch that allows you to strafe, change direction, and have a far more agile overall experience. Additionally, they are linear, for the most direct feedback, as most gamers prefer.

One of the main benefits of the 65% form factor is that there’s very little wasted space, aside from the small notch to the left of the arrow, which we’ve tastefully filled in with a spot of subtle branding. As a result, you get a super neat overall package, and the minimalist form belies its monstrous competitive performance.

The aerospace-esque brushed and anodized aluminum top case, beveled around the edge, creates a super slim border, with the overall width at just 315mm—making for a perfect combination of compact and comprehensive. Additionally, the slick black colorway and vivid RGB lighting mean that it’ll easily integrate into any gaming setup.

To further bolster the competitive edge of the K65 PRO MINI, we’ve equipped it with our AXON Hyper Processing Technology. This proprietary tech allows the keyboard to send data to the computer up to 8,000 times per second—the computer always has the latest data. This means that, regardless of how fast you play, the K65 PRO MINI will never slow you down.

Of course, very few people have a dedicated keyboard just for gaming, with most preferring to use the same one for gaming, working, and general use. So, despite the overall focus being on providing a competitive edge, we’ve also decided to retain some general-use creature comforts in the K65 PRO MINI.

Any mechanical keyboard enthusiast will tell you that dampening material can have a huge impact on the overall experience of a keyboard, both in terms of physical sensation and auditorial feedback.

This is why, despite the slim chassis, we’ve managed to fit two individual layers of dampening material. This allowed us to release a keyboard that’s a performance powerhouse, an auditory experience, and a tactile tour-de-force.
