RTX 3070 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
As with the 3080, 4080, and pretty much any of NVIDIA’s GPUs, the power draw of the cards varies depending on which brand is making it. So, here’s a list of some of the most common RTX 3070 cards and their officially recommended minimum wattages.

Please note that this list is not exhaustive, so if you don’t see your specific model of 3070 in there, check the manual or the manufacturer’s website to make sure you’re configuring your system correctly. We’re actually going to go with PSUs that are slightly over-powered for the RTX 3070, as the additional headroom means that you’ll be able to upgrade your system a few times without necessarily having to upgrade the PSU. Additionally, it means that the PSU won’t have to work as hard to power the system, which is nicer for thermals. We will include a 650W option at the bottom of the page for those who are less concerned about upgradability.
If we’re talking modular PSUs, then the RM750x SHIFT is the correct answer here. Fully modular cables mean that you only have to manage what you need, and the way that they’re side-mounted makes cable runs even more direct. The RM750x SHIFT is also 80 PLUS gold and Cybenetics gold-rated for efficiency, and scores an A from Cybenetics in their noise levels testing too.

But what if you don’t care about size, or side-mounted connectors? What if you just want a PSU that just gets the job done, allowing you to concentrate on the important things in life. Like Counter-Strike 2 and YouTube videos.
If that’s the case, then the CORSAIR RM750e is the top choice here. It’s modular of course, but the main feature is how whisper quiet it is. If you’re the type who like to entirely forget there’s a PC in the room, this is how you do that.

If you only upgrade your PC sparingly, or you like living life closer to the edge, then a 650W PSU will still be ok. We’d be remiss if we didn’t include one, so we’re going with the CORSAIR RM650.
