AMD Ryzen 5800X and especially the 5800X3D CPUs are a great upgrade from older processor generations like the 1000, 2000, or even 3000 variants, especially when you are still running any of the older mainboards with AM4 Socket that support upgrading to the 5800X or 5800X3D.
If your system is mainly your gaming station, you know you want that 5800X3D to breathe new life into your system. Will your cooling solution be adequate though? To answer the question: What sort of cooling should you be looking at to tame your brand-new CPU? Let's take a look at the various options for cooling the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X and 5800X3D processors from the many CORSAIR All-In-One watercooling options.
When considering cooling options, you want to learn about the default TDP (Thermal Design Power) of the CPU you are purchasing. You'll need to be able to transfer and exhaust that heat produced from this power draw to keep your CPU temperature as low as possible. Both the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X and the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D have a default TDP of 105W.
