The CORSAIR M75 AIR WIRELESS is our latest and greatest ultralight FPS gaming mouse. It’s an entirely new design that’s completely focused on performance, and its modest exterior belies the top-tier technology beating at its heart. We'll start with the full specs and then get into the specific features of this mouse that make it the premier choice for competitive FPS gaming.
As of 04/19/2024, You can now get the M75 AIR in your choice of Black, Grey, or White! The additional colorways have no impact on the other specs, including the weight.
Those who enjoy a minimalist, Apple-adjacent look will enjoy the tidiness of the White colorway, and given that the M75 AIR is not equipped with RGB, it's probably the cleanest looking mouse we've ever made. The White option would complement the white versions of the HS80 headsets, and any of our white keyboards, too.
The Grey colorway is interesting, too, providing a more industrial vibe, thanks to it's light, concrete-esque color. This would match perfectly with the grey accents found in the HS35, 55, and 65 gaming headsets. It's also a great match for the K65 PLUS WIRELESS, fitting in with the Grey-blue keys that create the two-tone look of that board.
The people out there familiar with high-performance FPS gaming mice will be able to tell that the M75 AIR is a force to be reckoned with, but for those who find spec sheets uninteresting, or just don’t know what to look for, we’ll break it down for you.
In FPS games, whether it’s Counter-Strike 2, Valorant, Apex Legends, or Fortnite, aiming speed is absolutely crucial.
The sort of speeds you need to be truly competitive can only be achieved with a lightweight mouse. The lighter the mouse, the easier it is to move. The easier it is to move, the quicker you can snap on to your target. If you’re interested in a more detailed breakdown of this, we’ve written an article all about the benefits of a lightweight mouse for competitive gaming.
This is why hitting the 60g (2.08oz) was of paramount importance for us. Around 60g is considered the ideal weight for professional FPS gaming. 60g allows for quick movement, but much lower and you’d have to sacrifice battery life, performance of the internal components, or the quality of the overall construction. Of course, weight is only one aspect of mouse design, another vital consideration is the shape, so let’s talk about that.
When it comes to making a mouse for top-tier competitive gaming, the shape is vital, too. After all, if it’s uncomfortable what’s the point? We’ve gone with a simple, ergonomic symmetrical shape for the CORSAIR M75 AIR. It’s worth noting here that the side-buttons are only on the left side of the mouse, meaning that the M75 AIR is most suitable for right-handed users.
The shape of the mouse was designed to be comfortable for all hand sizes. It’s slightly wider at the back than it is at the front, which allows users with small hands to more easily grasp the mouse. Additionally, the shape is ideal for palm and claw grips, as they are generally preferred amongst pro FPS players. Though, according to our testing, it’s plenty comfy for fingertip grips as well.
While we enjoy features like side-scroll, adjustable weights, RGB lighting and all the rest, these are not features that Pro gamers want. So, we’ve streamlined the design of the M75 AIR, removing anything extraneous, retaining only the performance-critical features. You get left and right mouse buttons, two thumb buttons, and a scroll wheel. If you’ve ever looked up the mice used by FPS Pros, this is all they want out of a mouse.
We’ve also given this mouse 100% additive-free PTFE skates, so it can glide with the best of them. Additionally, we’re making glass replacement mouse skates and grip tape (sold separately) so you can further tailor the CORSAIR M75 AIR to your competitive preference.
In terms of connectivity, the mouse is equipped with 2.4GHz SLIPSTREAM CORSAIR WIRELESS, Bluetooth® 4.2 + LE, and good old fashioned USB Type-C. This comprehensive connectivity means you can use the M75 AIR with almost any device, anywhere you go. The Bluetooth being particularly handy for gaming laptop enjoyers who are always short on full-size USB ports.
The 2.4GHz dongle can also be stored in the slot on the underside of the mouse, further increasing portability. Speaking of the underside, this is where you’ll find the selector switch for the connection mode. Simply tap this button to cycle between USB, 2.4GHz, and Bluetooth.
Despite the feathery weight that gives the mouse it’s moniker, we’ve managed to squeeze a high-capacity battery in there, too. This gives you up to 34 hours of use on 2.4GHz and up to 100 hours for Bluetooth. Additionally, you can recharge from 0 to 100% in just 75 minutes, minimizing downtime while maximizing performance.
