As you probably know, keeping your CPU cool is important for a bunch of different reasons such as stable performance and damage prevention. The A115 has a copper cold plate that gives the cooler the ability to transfer heat at a super fast rate which increases the performance of your PC. One thing about copper is that it offers great thermal stability at higher temperatures so it will keep the air cooler running very efficient.
The A115's ability to adjust the fan's mounting height allows compatibility with most DRAM memory modules. CPU air coolers can be bulky and sometimes have mounting issues due to memory module heights, but CORSAIR's Ratcheting Fan Mount System is slimmed down and allows for a variable mounting height. So this means that the fans slide into a bracket and can be adjusted up and down for the best fit. The A115 come with a set of AF140 ELITE fans. These fans are equiped with fluid dynamic bearings which help a lot with the noise level, no one wants a noisy PC. CORSAIR incorporates anti-vortex vanes, a CORSAIR technology that allows the air stream generated by the fan to be a more direct and focused air flow, making it ideal for a CPU cooler like the A115. Also, if you purchase an additional fan and want to add one, you can mount it as a third fan at the rear of the A115. This will lower the temps by about 2 degrees.
When you're CPU is performing heavy duty tasks, it's going to need a really good cooler to dissipate that heat. The A115 has what it takes to do the job. It has 90 nickel-plated cooling fins that speed up the cooling process. So basically the way it works is that the heat from the CPU is absorbed and transfered to the cooling fins which are spread over a rather large surface area which then allows the heat to dissipate.
This cooler will support all the latest Intel and AMD CPU's. CORSAIR uses it's own bracket design called HoldFast 2.0 Retention System which supports LGA 1700, 1200, 115x, and AMD Socket AM5 and AM4.
A really cool thing on the cooler is that CORSAIR XTM70 thermal paste is pre-applied so that you don't have to mess with it yourself. It's not hard to do but it adds another step plus the factory application is always nice because you get an even amount that's already been applied for you. If you do however for any reason require additional thermal paste, you can purchase XTM70 right at our webstore.
Our CORSAIR warranty includes 24/7 customer support which speaks volumes when it comes to technical assistance on any product nowdays. CORSAIR offers a full five year warranty on the A115 Air Cooler so you don't have to worry.
There was a time when a CPU came with a stock cooler and upgrading to a premium cooler was the thing to do for best performance but as that performance increased even further, we saw ourselves having to find a better cooling solution in order to keep up. This led to the evolution of the air cooler into what we know today as the All-In-One CPU (AIO) coolers. However, AIO's haven't always been the right fit for everyone. Many AIO's today have LED lights, rather large hoses, and software that lets face it, if that's not your thing, it's just not. While an AIO will provide you with the best performance, it can be a pricier way to go. Additionally, the CORSAIR A115 is far longer lasting and more reliable than an AIO and it can keep up with even the spiciest CPUs of today like the 14900K.
If you find yourself in the market for a new CPU air cooler, the new CORSAIR A115 is certainly worth considering and you can check it out at the CORSAIR webstore for additional information and purchase.
