For those who haven't built a new PC in a few years, iCUE LINK may be an unfamiliarity. With new builds on the horizon, especially with the launch of new gaming hardware, we're here to cover how iCUE LINK AIOs stack up against regular AIOs.
Our 3500X mid-tower case equipped with an iCUE LINK TITAN 360 RX RGB AIO.
With regular AIOs, RGB fans have an array of cables that you'd have to deal with. Each RGB fan has two cables - one for fan power/control and one for the RGB power/control. If you use an AIO with three fans, you'll have to manage six cables - which may not sound too bad, but is an absolutely annoying task.
A regular AIO with two RGB fans
With our iCUE LINK AIOs, you'll only need a single cable to power and control your fans. Both fan functionality and RGB lighting. Two fans? Three fans? Just one cable. Want to add more iCUE LINK fans to your build? Sure, no problem. One more cable for the front fans - whether you're installing one, two, three, or four fans. Just one more cable.
Say goodbye to two cables per fan with iCUE LINK
When installed on the same surface, the iCUE LINK fans are connected to each other via an active connector. This active connector transfers data and power from fan to fan. If you're installing a fan that isn't on the same surface, that'd be where another iCUE LINK cable comes into play.
With significantly less cables to deal with, the installation of iCUE LINK AIOs couldn't be any easier. With the AIO connected to its included iCUE LINK Hub, you won't even need to connect the AIO's pump to the CPU_FAN or AIO_PUMP headers on the motherboard, which are normally located in a hard-to-reach location if you've already mounted your AIO atop.
When using regular AIOs, you'll have to hook up each fan to a PWM fan header on your motherboard, or to another separate controller. If using ARGB/RGB fans, you'll also have to hook them up to an ARGB header on your motherboard or RGB controller. Overall, the experience isn't as seamless as iCUE LINK, as you'd have cables running to a plethora of different locations.
With our iCUE LINK AIOs, you can easily swap the pump caps.
