System Setting | Aspect Ratio | Auto |
Aspect ratio is the ratio of width to height of an image or screen. When the aspect ratio is set to Auto, the monitor will adapt the aspect ratio to match the incoming video signal. This mode is useful when trying to view an image with a different aspect ratio than the display without distorting the image. Full mode will take the input and change the size of the image to fit the screen. |
|
Full | ||||
Adaptive Sync | OFF |
Enables AMD FreeSync or NVIDIA G-SYNC to reduce screen tearing and stuttering by synchronizing the monitor’s refresh rate with the framerate from the GPU. When enabled, you will be able to select AMD FreeSync or NVIDIA G-SYNC within the Graphics Driver. NVIDIA G-Sync compatibility is available when connected via DP cable or USB Type-C Alt Mode cable to compatible GPU. For NVIDIA G-Sync functionality: • Install/open NVIDIA Control Panel May require a system reboot to access NVIDIA settings. |
||
ON | ||||
Image Retention Refresh | Start Refresh |
Refreshes the pixels to prevent image retention or “burn-in”. If the display is left on for 8 hours, an overlay notification will appear on the screen suggesting that Image Retention Refresh be performed. While the display is being refreshed, the monitor cannot be used. When the monitor is powered off, Image Retention Refresh will be running automatically if it has been operated for more than 8 hours. Hitting the power button during a refresh will cancel the process and will allow the display to be used. To ensure the monitor’s longevity, it is recommended to power the monitor off when not in use and utilize the Image Retention Refresh during long periods of continued use. |
||
Orbit | OFF |
While activated, the image shifts 1 pixel per minute in a circular pattern to prevent screen damage and image retention. To ensure monitor longevity, it’s recommended to always keep the Orbit setting on, especially when using the monitor for productivity and work uses or still images. |
||
ON | ||||
Brightness Stabilizer | OFF |
Limits the peak brightness of the monitor to 200 nits while providing more stable brightness levels when switching between windows and applications. To take advantage of the full brightness and contrast capabilities provided by this monitor set Brightness Stabilizer to OFF; ideal for HDR, gaming and media consumption. To ensure stable brightness settings for productivity tasks, set Brightness Stabilizer to ON. |
||
ON | ||||
Source Detection | Auto |
Allows the user to choose whether the monitor should automatically detect a video source or allows the user to manually select the video source. Auto should be selected when there is only one video input device, and Manual should be selected when a specific video input is desired, but there are multiple video inputs. |
||
Manual | ||||
USB-C Alt Mode | 4 Lane |
Allows the user to choose between USB data transfer speeds but can affect the refresh rate of the monitor.
• 4-Lane Mode allows up to 3440 x 1440 @ 240Hz resolution but reduces the speed of the USB Type-A ports to USB 2.0
To take full advantage of high refresh rates please set USB-C Alt Mode to 4-lane; ideal for gaming. To take advantage of faster USB data transfer speeds please set USB-C Alt Mode to 2-lane; ideal for productivity tasks and data transfers. |
||
