Nowadays a headset is just as important as your keyboard and mouse. Whether you’re a gamer absorbing the sound of your game through your gaming headset or you work in an office environment and use your headset for conference calls, your headset and mic are an essential part of your setup.
One question we are asked often is which of your headsets are compatible with Mac? As you probably know, Mac computers are popular among creative professionals and users that enjoy the integration of other Apple devices. Mac computers are the preferred choice by some, so we at CORSAIR decided to show you a few recommended headsets for your Mac.
First, lets get the question answered.
Any USB connection headset will work on a Mac PC. However, it does not mean that the headsets software is Mac compatible. Typically, headset software enhances certain aspects of the headset including sound, like accessing EQ settings and microphone settings. Your headset software also manages other settings including some of the buttons on the headsets, for example, the mute or power button, and RGB control since many headsets nowadays incorporate LEDs.
Lucky for you, CORSAIR makes a very powerful software called iCUE and there’s a version just for Mac.
Here are just a few things you can do with CORSAIR iCUE:
CORSAIR iCUE is a powerful software that not only allows your CORSAIR headset to maximise it's performance but also gives you that same level of customization across all compatible peripherals in your system. With iCUE, you can synchronize dynamic RGB lighting effects, create custom macros, adjust your mouse’s sensitivity in single DPI steps and much more.
So, let’s take a look at a few headsets that we recommend for use with Mac.
At the top of the game, we have the CORSAIR VIRTUOSO RGB WIRELESS XT. These headsets feature an all-aluminum design and pillow-soft memory foam ear pads for long-term durability and comfortability.
