The Platform:6 is a modular desk with all sorts of accessories that can be added to it to make your space conform to your needs. If you’re looking for the ultimate platform for all your streaming gear, we’ve put together this guide as a starting point for configuring your own Platform:6.
Lights, camera, action. Building out a streaming setup can be daunting and Platform:6 has all the features and customization options available to help you create without compromise and if you’re a serious creator, we suggest looking at the Creator Edition.
What does that get you? A wide 72” x 30” (180cm x 76cm) desk surface, adjustable height with two programmable memory settings, mounting for up to two monitors using the included dual monitor arm, plenty of cable-management to keep your cables out of sight, in-desk storage and USB power to charge up your phone, and the Elgato Multi-Frame System which provides expanded mounting, storage, and cable management to keep everything tidy and within reach.
The Platform:6 Creator Edition covers almost everything you’d need when it comes to mounting your streaming gear, but we can supplement it with a couple additional accessories.
Your streaming PC is your pride and joy, an extension shelf (available separately in black or wood finishes) will allow you to seamlessly extend the desk surface so that you can keep USB ports within reach and proudly display it within your streaming space.
Lighting will make or break a stream and the included Elgato Mount adapter will allow you to mount lights such as Elgato’s Key Light Air or Ring Light (sold separately) directly to the rails on your Platform:6.
And while the Elgato Multi-Frame System on the Platform:6 Creator Edition offers plentiful overhead pegboard space to serve as storage for your peripherals and other miscellaneous items, a side pegboard can drastically expand your storage options, giving you more ways to keep everything within reach, whether it be a wireless headset, charging cables or that one HDMI cable you like to keep handy for rigging up a console to capture from.
Of course, not every solution is truly one-size-fits-all, and with Platform:6 we’re offering three different models so you can start building out yours.
