How to Remove a CORSAIR M.2 NVMe SSD Heatsink

This is a tutorial on how to remove the stock heatsink on a CORSAIR M.2 NVMe SSD such as the MP600, MP600 CORE, MP600 PRO, and MP600 PRO XT in case you wish to install your SSD in a motherboard with onboard cooling, an external enclosure with adequate cooling, or a game console (which may require a low-profile heatsink).

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE PROCEEDING:

Proceed with caution before removing your SSD's heatsink and carefully handle the SSD throughout the process or else you risk damaging the drive.

Any advertised SSD speeds were achieved with the included heatsink, performance may suffer if used without a heatsink or if used with third-party cooling solution.

Product warranties still apply as long as no damage has been done to the SSD itself, all original hardware included with the SSD (thermal pads, heatsink, heatsink clips) must be returned in the case of an RMA.
