AMD has unveiled their latest GPU offerings to us. This time around we have two flavors to choose from: the 9070 and 9070 XT, and today we want to look at if your power supply can meet the demands of the Radeon RX 9070 XT.
The CORSAIR RM850x is the optimal choice if you are looking for a fully modular PSU. RM850x is Cybenetics Gold for efficiency, and scores an A from Cybenetics in their noise levels testing too. This means that you will get an efficient and quiet power supply.
You will have the option of connecting a GPU with a 12V-2x6 connector or one with up to 3x PCIe 8-Pin connectors.
You should know which cables are shipping with your power supply unit. That is why we put together this handy table that shows you all the cable types, their length, and quantity. You can compare the tables with the other power supplies mentioned in this article for easy comparison. If you want to just look at the power table, you will find it further down too.

Let’s throw a 750W PSU into the mix. The CORSAIR RM750e is a great solution, if you want to stick to the recommended wattage for a standard or moderately overclocked variant of the RX 9070 XT. You will not have a lot of headroom for upgrades down the road, should you pick a more power demanding CPU or GPU, or if you plan to add a lot of additional components, but it will certainly do the trick and securely power your system. Plus you'll save a buck. A buck you'll need to buy new GPUs these days.
You will have the option of connecting a GPU with a 12V-2x6 connector or one with up to 3x PCIe 8-Pin connectors.

Looking for a PSU that is just right and does not come with full modularity? We got you covered. The CORSAIR CX750M with 80 PLUS Bronze efficiency rating will power your system in no time. It does not come with all the bells and whistles of the other units as it sticks to the former ATX 2.4 specifications, but it will still do the job just fine.
You will have the option of connecting a GPU with up to 4x PCIe 8-Pin connectors. For a GPU with 12V-2x6 connector, you will need to purchase an optional cable.
