WHAT IS THE BASEPLATE MATERIAL?

The XC7 RGB ELITE as well as XC7 RGB ELITE LCD use a nickel-plated copper cold plate with over 120 high-efficiency micro-cooling fins. The top cover of the water blocks are made from aluminum to give a unique look and feel. This top cover does not however come into contact with the coolant in any way as the entire flow chamber is constructed from durable nylon.

Only mix this cooler with copper and brass products, not aluminum ones. If you're curious about whether mixing aluminum and copper is a good idea, (Spoiler alert: It's not), read our article about galvanic corrosion.

To begin planning your custom cooling loop, we developed a comprehensive custom cooling configurator. This configurator can assist you in choosing all the suitable parts for the hardware you have chosen.
