With the announcement of the 40-Series Super GPUs, comes a whole new band of merry min/maxxers looking for a suitable PSU. So, in addition to doing it for the 4080 and 4070 Super, now we’re going to find the best PSU for the RTX 4070 Ti Super.
Now, given that the 4070Ti Super has the same TDP as the regular 4070Ti, our work is made easy for once. Seeing as we already made the best recommendations for the non-super card, we’re going to make the same choices here. No sense in suggesting different PSUs just for the sake of variety.
We mentioned at the beginning that the TDP hasn’t changed, this means that the same suggested minimum of 700W still applies. However, here at CORSAIR we aren’t fond of bare minimums, so we’ve decided to recommend 850W. This provides some space for those with a lot of other power-hungry stuff in their system and allows for some future-proofing, too.
The RM850x SHIFT is part of our SHIFT line of PSUs. In addition to these being fully modular, the connections have all been moved to the side perpendicular to the power switch. This means that the cables come out ready to go straight up the back of the motherboard tray. Easier to build, and leaves more room adjacent to the PSU for watercooling pumps and HDDs, if you’re one of those people.

Small PCs are all the rage these days. Not only are there the practical advantages like saving space and weight, but these cases are far more difficult to build in. This means that there are some significant bragging rights to be had for a tidy build.
If this sounds appealing, then you’ll need an SFX PSU, too. These are significantly shorter than regular ATX PSUs and are often vital as some small cases simply don’t support the larger ATX standard.
The SF850L is the correct choice here. Small, quiet, modular, and 80 PLUS Gold efficiency. It doesn’t get better than this when it comes to the best SFX PSU for the RTX 4070Ti Super.

Those who use open-back headphones like the VIRTUOSO PROs or like a set of speakers should be far more concerned about noise. So, if you’re not using a closed-back headset like the HS80 Max, a quiet PSU should be a top priority.
In this case, the CORSAIR RM850e is your best bet, like many of our PSUs, the fan won’t even spin below a certain usage threshold. However, this PSU specifically stays are quiet as possible regardless of how hard your system is working, so if you give no quarter to additional noise from your new 4070Ti Super, then this is the correct option.

We said that we prefer to build in some additional wattage by speccing a more powerful PSU. However, we’d be remiss in our duties if we didn’t provide a choice for the people out there who prefer to live on the edge with their 4070Ti Super.
Because our top choice was from the SHIFT lineup, it makes sense to use a SHIFT PSU here, too. Luckily, we also make the SHIFT PSUs in a 750W variant.
