Time Warp is a lighting effect exclusive to QX RGB fans that can make a fan appear to be still, rotate slowly, or rotate in reverse when in reality, the fan is continuing to operate as it would normally.
The strobe rate of an LED or group of LEDs (such as those found on QX RGB fans) can be manipulated in such a way to cause unique optical illusions, such as optically "freezing" a fan blade in place or causing it to appear to spin slower or even in reverse when perceived by the human eye.
To enable Time Warp on a system equipped with QX RGB fans, navigate to the tile for your QX RGB fans in the CORSAIR iCUE Software, select "Time Warp," and enable it on the desired fans. Time Warp can be customized with a single color, direction, and speed. Fans that have Time Warp enabled cannot simultaneously play other Lighting Effects.
If configured, Hardware Time Warp will apply the effect in situations where the iCUE Software isn't running, such as when your system is first booting up, locked, or you've closed the iCUE Software completely.
