There are four RS MAX Fan available options for purchase.
Static pressure fans are cooling fans designed to move air efficiently through areas with high resistance. These fans play a crucial role by ensuring sufficient airflow in tightly packed environments where heatsinks, radiators, and other components obstruct the passage of air. Unlike standard case fans that prioritize air flow volume over pressure, static pressure fans are engineered to push air more forcefully, making them ideal for situations where they need to overcome obstacles that would stifle ordinary fans. With their focused flow, they are particularly adept at maintaining optimal temperatures for critical components. They are a preferred choice in custom cooling setups, such as water-cooled systems or densely built gaming rigs.
RS MAX Fans are built 30mm thick which is 5mm thicker than the standard. This allows for a larger fan blade which increases cooling performance, especially as compared to 25mm thick fans.
This fan is made of liquid crystal polymer resins, which are known to have exceptional mechanical strength and resistance to high temperatures. This strength adds a benefit to the fan blade as it prevents it from bending or buckling under static pressure and guarantees powerful airflow at any fan speed.
PWM fans are a type of computer fan that allows for detailed control over the blades' rotational speed. This control is achieved through PWM signals sent by the motherboard or a fan controller. By adjusting the fan's speed, PWM technology ensures that your components stay cool when they need to without running the fan at full speed all the time.
The benefits are consistent cooling performance, noise reduction, energy efficiency, and a better fan lifespan.
These bearings use magnetic forces to levitate the fan's rotor, eliminating physical contact between the rotor and the bearing surfaces. The absence of physical contact reduces mechanical noise and, therefore, makes these fans very quiet.
CORSAIR AirGuide Technology features anti-vortex vanes that produce high static pressure and push air that powers through impeding components such as high-density radiators and heatsinks.
With a wider thread pitch, CORSAIR QUIKTURN screws make it easier to install RS MAX fans with just one single turn. Basically, these screws have very steep threads. Fans do not weigh much and computers do not not move a lot so there is no practical need for the screws you're used to. We've included regular screws, too, just in case.
The CORSAIR RS MAX is a 30mm thick performance fan without RGB lighting. The increase in thickness from the standard 25mm allows for enhanced blade design, substantially boosting the fan's performance. The RS MAX integrates state-of-the-art liquid crystal polymer materials, magnetic dome-bearing technology, and air guide technology. It also features an exceptionally precise 0.8 mm gap between the impeller and frame. These advances combine to position the RS MAX as CORSAIR's most superior performance fan to date.
