The CORSAIR A115 CPU Air Cooler was designed to offer impressive performance, easy installation, and broad compatibility with the latest CPUs in mind. It does not matter if you are using an Intel LGA 1700 / LGA 1200 / LGA 115X or an AMD AM5 / AM4 CPU, the A115 CPU Air Cooler is ready to keep all of them cool.
It comes equipped with two large AF140 ELITE PWM fans with 140 x 140 x 25 mm measurements and equipped with AirGuide technology to effectively route the air through the fins of the A115.
As this is a large cooler, you will need to account for memory module clearance on your motherboard as well as taking your case measurements into account. For this, the CORSAIR A115 CPU Air Cooler has a neat little trick up its sleeve. To cater to different RAM module heights the fans can be quickly adjusted in position.
Basically, it depends on the specific modules, to find out more about the height of modules, we have an overview for DDR4 RAM Module Height as well as one for DDR5 RAM Module Height available to you in our knowledgebase of our support website.
As you can see in the picture above, the CORSAIR A115 CPU Air Cooler is a tower cooler with large proportions that delivers an excellent cooling performance to cool up to 270W TDP (Thermal Design Power).
AF140 ELITE PWM fans that each measure in at 140 x 140 x 25 mm help to cool the cooling fins effectively.
To allow different size memory modules to be installed next to the AF140 ELITE PWM fans or any other fan that measures 140 x 140 x 25 mm, you will quickly notice that in the lowest fan position the 25mm clearance won’t cut it, even when using our lowest Vengeance DDR5 modules. These measure in at 35mm height for reference.
There is an easy way to fix that. You can easily adjust the fan positioning by moving the fans upwards to clear any obstacles. In the case of memory modules let’s look at the Vengeance DDR5 modules at 35mm height. When adjusting the fan to clear the modules the total height of the cooler will come in at about 181mm.
With our tallest modules, the Dominator Titanium RGB at 56.75mm the total height of the cooler will come in at about 201mm. These measurements were taken from the motherboard surface to the tallest point of the cooler/fan assembly. This is important to know when making sure that the cooler will comfortably fit the PC case you're using.
