The MP600 MICRO is tiny, but it isn't the smallest drive we make. Some of you may be asking what the difference is between the CORSAIR MP600 MICRO and the MP600 CORE MINI and although we won't get into all of the specifics here (you can find out more in this article), we do want to address size. So here's a quick summary of an M.2 storage drive size.
We often see a number added after M.2 in a drive such as 2280. In this case the 2280 is merely the physical size of the drive. So for example, M.2 2280 means it's an M.2 drive that is 22mm wide and 80mm long. This is the way we measure the drive and in the case of 2242 and 2230—one is 42mm long and the other is 30mm long.
