Star Wars Outlaws System Requirements and Recommended Specs

After the success of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor from developer Respawn Entertainment and publisher EA, the newest addition to the list of Star Wars games has arrived.

This time around, it’s Massive Entertainment’s turn to develop, and Ubisoft’s turn to publish, using everything they’ve learnt from years of open-world games like Assassin’s Creed and Watch Dogs. It’s bound to be a fun game, but before you buy it, let’s take a look at the minimum and recommended Star Wars Outlaws system requirements.

Can I run Star Wars Outlaws?

If your PC specs look like those above then yes, but if you’re cutting it close, or are struggling with an aging PC build, there are some recommendations to be made.

Much like Black Myth: Wukong, this game will see stronger improvements from an upgrade to the GPU compared to a new CPU. Additionally, as it’s an open world game with very few loading screens, a fast, high-capacity M.2 drive like the MP600 ELITE 2TB is strongly recommended. Pair that with high-speed memory, like the CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5, and the open-world should load as smoothly as possible. This will preserve the all-important immersion that exploring the galaxy in search of profitable scum and challenging villainy requires.

If you can already run Star Wars Outlaws but are finding that your PC is emitting the same heat as a lightsaber and the same volume of a seismic charge, you might instead opt for alternative upgrades.

A better CPU Cooler, like the iCUE LINK TITAN 360 RX will tame your CPU, easily enough. Or those with more money, time and expertise might go 100% custom cooled, with a water block for your GPU, CPU, and Pump Reservoir Combos, tubing, radiators, and all the rest of it.

What kind of game is Star Wars Outlaws?

In contrast to the other recent Star Wars games, Outlaws appears to have been given the Ubisoft open-world treatment. Expansive environments full of missions to complete, collectables to uh, collect, and aliens to meet and/or murder can all be expected.

Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that you play as an underworld scoundrel type called Kay Vess, so those looking to cut through droids, people, and places like butter with a lightsaber will be disappointed. Kay uses a blaster as her weapon of choice. However, the open world does necessitate the inclusion of a Speeder as the primary mode of transport, which will no-doubt be fun.

In terms of gameplay, you can expect third-person cover-based shooting/stealth, some climbing/traversal stuff, puzzles, and vehicle-based fun, like challenging Sebulba to a drag race or something. If you’re familiar with the likes of Assassin’s Creed, Uncharted, and Grand Theft Auto, you’ll feel right at home in this galaxy far far away.
