Best headset and mouse to go with the CORSAIR K65 PLUS WIRELESS

If you’re anything like us then after buying a new keyboard, you often pause, thinking perhaps that this is the perfect time to refresh the rest of your peripherals, too. It’s a good idea, after all – there’s nothing like starting up your game of choice with a fresh mouse, keyboard, and headset.

So, if you’re going to be picking up a CORSAIR K65 PLUS WIRELESS, we’re going to suggest a few things that would pair wonderfully with it. But first, the K65 PLUS itself:

CORSAIR K65 PLUS

The star of show has a lot of features up it’s finely-styled sleeve. It’s the first 75% keyboard from CORSAIR, which is a big deal for keyboard enthusiasts as it’s a very popular form factor these days. It comes with pre-lubed CORSAIR MLX Red key switches, and a 5-pin Hot-swappable PCB. This means that if you’re not keen on the MLX switches, you’re free to swap them out with any 3-pin or 5-pin Cherry MX-Style key switch.

It’s also got 2.4GHz and Bluetooth wireless connectivity, which basically creates a universal mechanical gaming keyboard. So, yeah it’s pretty special. A more comprehensive breakdown can be found in our main CORSAIR K65 PLUS WIRELESS article. For now, though, we’ll move onto the ideal gaming headset to go with it: The CORSAIR HS80 MAX WIRELESS.

CORSAIR HS80 MAX WIRELES

The CORSAIR HS80 MAX WIRELESS is the upgraded version of the venerable HS80. It’s easily one of the comfiest closed-back gaming headsets out there, too, which is arguably the most important aspect of headset design.

You also get Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless, and full compatibility with PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile, making it the one headset to rule them all. An extended battery life of up to 65 hours, Dolby Atmos, and a flip-to-mute mic top it off. Our full HS80 MAX article has everything else you need to know.

So, now we’ve sorted our keyboard and our headset, let’s round out our list with a top gaming mouse: the CORSAIR M75 AIR.

CORSAIR M75 AIR WIRELESS

As you might have realised at this point, we’re going with some very competitive gaming-focused peripherals here. With the HS80 MAX WIRELESS being our top esports headsets, it only makes sense to grab our highest-performing mouse as well.

The M75 AIR WIRELESS is our lightest mouse yet, weighing in an astoundingly ethereal 60g / 2.08oz. This means that it’s nigh-on effortless to move it quickly, which is invaluable for competitive gamers, most of which use a very low DPI. It’s also got a sensor capable of tracking at 26,000 DPI and can handle 50g of acceleration.

The shape is also crowd-pleasingly symmetrical and a medium size, so it works really well for all hand sizes and grip types. The M75 is a feature-light, performance-heavy mouse. In fact the only extra functions you’ll find in this form are the two thumb-side buttons. These are arguably essentials for gaming these days, as it allows quickfire actions like melee to be hit quicker than would be possible on the keyboard.

The perfect PC gaming trio

So, there’s a full gaming peripheral setup recommendation. The K65 PLUS WIRELESS, HS80 MAX WIRELESS, and M75 AIR WIRELESS will be more than equipped for almost any game out there, and particularly suited to competitive gaming. Plus, you can adjust and monitor all three at once with iCUE. Check them out on our main site to buy.
