How to Export & Import Lighting Profiles in iCUE

Ever seen someone's iCUE lighting profile on social media that you'd like to replicate without going through the guesswork and labor? Need to export your lighting profiles before doing a clean install of iCUE/Windows? Thankfully, exporting and importing iCUE lighting profiles couldn't be any easier - just follow our quick visual guide detailed below.

Exporting Profiles

1) To export an iCUE profile, firstly, you'll want to navigate to the downward facing arrow ˅ on the left-hand side. The side tab will then expand and present your iCUE profiles.

2) Click on the backward/forward facing arrow icon. This opens a window where you'll need to click the "Export" tab, then select which iCUE profile to export, as well as which attributes (lighting, key assignments, etc.) of the profile you'd like to export.

3) After selecting the profile and which attributes to export, you may click the "Export" button and choose the save location.

Importing Profile(s)

1) If you've just done a clean installation of iCUE and have any of our lighting controllers (COMMANDER CORE XT, COMMANDER CORE included with select coolers, Lighting Node PRO, etc.), you'll first want to make sure the appropriate fans or devices are selected based in your "Lighting Setup" tab under 4-pin Lighting Effects (RGB fans) and 3-pin Lighting Effects (Hydro X, LED strips, LC100 triangles, etc.).

2) To import an iCUE profile, firstly, you'll want to navigate to the downward facing arrow ˅ on the left-hand side. The side tab will then expand and present your existing iCUE profiles.

3) Click on the backward/forward facing arrow icon. This opens a window with the import tab selected by default.

4) Click on the "+" button and locate/select your iCUE profile. After selecting the iCUE profile, select which attributes of the profile you'd like to import, then finalize the import by clicking on the "Import" button.

5) Voila! You've successfully imported an iCUE profile. You may assign your newly-imported profile as default via the vertical "..." icon located at the side tab with your profiles listed.
