How to control the fans of the A115 CPU Air Cooler using iCUE Software

The CORSAIR A115 CPU Air Cooler has been built to offer impressive performance, easy installation, and a broad compatibility with the latest CPUs in mind.

As this is a large cooler, you will need to account for clearance to memory modules on your motherboard as well as taking your case measurements into account. For this, the CORSAIR A115 CPU Air Cooler has a neat little trick up its sleeve. To cater to different RAM module heights the fans can be quickly adjusted in position. How do you connect the fans to your system?

Connecting the fans out-of-the-box easily done with the included PWM Y-Splitter cable. Simply connect both PWM plugs from the fans to the splitter cable and then to a CPU Fan Header on your motherboard.

How do you control the fans using CORSAIR iCUE Software?

If you would like to control the fans using CORSAIR iCUE Software, then this can be easily done by adding a CORSAIR Commander Core XT to your system.

CORSAIR iCUE COMMANDER CORE XT Smart RGB Lighting and Fan Speed Controller

Commander Core XT allows you control the fan speed of up to 6 PWM fans. Instead of connecting the fans of the CORSAIR A115 CPU Air Cooler to your motherboard, you simply connect them to the Commander Core XT. Within iCUE you select the device and you can control your cooling curves in relation to the CPU Package temperature with pre-defined curves or by setting up a custom curve.
