BEFORE FIRST USE

Charge the keyboard fully before first use by connecting the USB cable (G) to the keybaord USB Type-C port (F) and to an available USB 3.0 or better Type-A on a compatible device including:

Connecting to SONY PlayStation

The keyboard also has a special mode to support Sony PlayStation 4 and 5 that can be activated via shortcut.

Connecting via Bluetooth Wireless

K70 CORE TKL Wireless can store up to three pairing info and can be switched via FN key (see below table for details).

Steps to connect to your host device:

  1. Turn on Bluetooth function of your host device such as a phone or tablet (Bluetooth 4.0 or higher)*.
  2. Flip to BT mode of the 3-way mode switch (E) at the rear of the keyboard, and it will be in pairing mode automatically.
  3. Follow the pairing instructions on your host device to finish pairing.
  4. Press ESC to cancel the pairing process and erase the pairing info.
  5. To store or toggle to a different BT profile, simply hold Fn and BLE (BLE1, BLE2, BLE3) for 2 seconds. Notice any existing pairing info will be erased when new pairing is triggered.

Connecting via Slipstream Wireless

1.   Plug in the SLIPSTREAM wireless adapter (H) to an available USB 2.0 or better Type-A port.

2.   Slide the keyboard power switch (E) to the on position.

3.   After SLIPSTREAM connects automatically, 2.4GHz/BT indicator turns solid white.

 

You can either pair the dongle with the keyboard directly via Fn + Del, or via iCUE (recommended).

Enable 2.4GHz mode pairing by pressing FN + Del for 2 seconds:

Charging & Battery Life

Upon powering on the keyboard or using the check battery life shortcut FN + Enter, Enter key will play to denote current battery charge level.

Note:

  1. Turn off device automatically when battery level is below 5%.
  2. Enter key (Battery indicator) only shows 3 seconds and will turn off after each event (status change).
  3. Enter key will pulse while charging and shows solid green when charging completes.
  4. Enter key breathes red constantly when battery level reaches critical level, overriding all other lighting effects.

Operating Modes

The keyboard features two operating modes:

  1. Hardware Mode When iCUE is not running or the keyboard is connected to a device that does not support iCUE, the keyboard operates in hardware mode which uses profiles and settings saved to the onboard storage.
  2. Software (S/W) Mode – When iCUE is running on a PC or Mac.
    • When iCUE is running the keyboard operates in software mode and is controlled by iCUE.
    • Download iCUE from corsair.com/downloads and install on a Windows PC or Apple Mac to connect all of your CORSAIR iCUE compatible products together in a single interface, giving you complete control of everything from lighting to powerful macros.

FLASHTAP (SOCD)

FlashTap is a revolutionary technology that puts the player in complete control of their movement keys, left and right in particular, optimizing SOCD behavior across every game and genre.

FlashTap will be disabled by default both in HW mode and iCUE.

HW mode behavior (September 2024 via firmware update)

  • Non-profile dependent, enable via shortcuts: FN + Right SHIFT
  • Supports key A + D, last priority only
  • Indication: A & D stay solid amber when FlashTap is on (overrides existing lighting)

iCUE behavior (November 2024 via iCUE update)

  • Supports advanced feature such as mode selection and key remapping
  • Can be configured with profile

HARDWARE OVERVIEW

FN Shortcuts Lighting Indicator

When pressing FN key, all lighting will momentarily turn OFF except for keys that have secondary functions and macros assigned to them will have backlighting turned ON.

  • The default color will be WHITE.
  • Users can customize the color indication in iCUE.

Color indication for profile currently in-use will take priority over FN Shortcuts lighting.

iCUE Home and Device Screen

iCUE Home and Device Screen

When you first open iCUE, you will see a new device tile for K70 CORE RGB TKL WIRELESS. Clicking the device tile will present options to start programming for:

  • Lighting Effects
  • Key Assignments
  • Control Dial
  • Performance

If you see an update notification in the iCUE window, please click to update firmware to the latest version.

Device Memory mode

Before you start programming, note that every iCUE system profile has two sets of settings - Software and Device Memory Mode.

The Device Memory mode menu allows you to assign functions which can be saved to the KB’s onboard memory and plays when in hardware mode.

A. Click the setting icon.
B. Change the advanced settings and Game Mode on Settings* (Polling rate, brightness, static color, indicator color, animation on or off…etc).

*Game Mode setting is global, so when Game Mode is on (Game Mode button being pressed), Game Mode settings will override any onboard or software profile settings.

MACRO RECORDING

Can be programmed in iCUE.

Macro Recording

A. Choose Key Assignments tab.
B. Under Assignments click [ + ] to click assignment type Macro, starting Macro recording after remapping keys.

FACTORY RESET

Hold ESC key for two seconds while device is plugged in to erase onboard memory profiles and restore factory default settings.

BATTERY REMOVAL INFORMATION
