GETTING TO KNOW YOUR HEADSET
RF WIRELESS MODE
XBOX - “XBOX - Connect the wireless USB transmitter to any USB port on your Xbox game console. On the headset, double press the CUSTOM BUTTON (C) to switch into the Xbox mode. In Xbox mode, the receiver LED will be solid green. During Xbox mode, the VOLUME CONTROL RING (D) will control your volume and the MULTIFUNCTION CONTROL RING (E) will control your game/chat balance. If the mic boom is not connected to the headset while in Xbox mode, pressing the Custom button will default to microphone mute and unmute. To exit Xbox mode, double press the CUSTOM BUTTON (C) again to switch out.
PC - Connect the wireless USB transmitter to any USB (type-A) port on your PC. Slide the WIRELESS MODE SWITCH (A) from Off to Wireless mode on the headset. The headset powers on in RF wireless mode by default. If you were using Xbox mode previously, double press the CUSTOM BUTTON (C) to switch into PC mode. The receiver LED will change to solid white once connected. The headset is designed to operate at a range of up to 50 feet (15.24m) from the transmitter, but other wireless devices, electronics and obstructions such as walls may impact performance.
UPDATE FIRMWARE
Please install CORSAIR iCUE software prior to use.
On first setup, please run iCUE and check for the latest firmware update via the Device Settings.
Note: The first time you use the CORSAIR VIRTUOSO MAX FOR XBOX headset on a PC, the operating system will automatically install a device driver. After the device driver is installed, we recommend you reboot your PC before use.
PLAYSTATION - Connect the wireless USB transmitter to any USB port on your PS4 or PS5 console. If you were using Xbox mode previously, double press the CUSTOM BUTTON (C) to switch into PC mode. The receiver LED will change to solid white once connected. Use the PlayStation UI to set “Output to Headphones” to “All Audio”. Adjust volume control (Headphones) to maximum level. Then adjust volume with the headset volume control.
BLUETOOTH MODE
The headset can connect to simultaneous RF and Bluetooth®.
Slide the WIRELESS MODE SWITCH (A) to Bluetooth and release to power on Bluetooth Mode. The headset will automatically connect to the last paired device. If there is no previous paired device, the headset will automatically enter pairing mode. To enable pairing mode, slide the WIRELESS MODE SWITCH (A) to Bluetooth and hold for 2 seconds. The LEDs will alternate blinking blue. When the headset is paired, the LED will pulse blue.
ACTIVE NOISE CANCELLATION
Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is Off by default, you can cycle the ANC mode On, to Transparency mode, or back to Off by pressing the CUSTOM BUTTON (C) for 1 second.
ANSWERING AND ENDING PHONE CALLS
To answer an incoming call, single press the ACTION SWITCH (B). To end the call, single press the ACTION SWITCH (B) again.
If the wireless USB transmitter is connected to an Xbox, PC, or PlayStation, the audio from the transmitter and the Bluetooth phone call will play simultaneously. The volume of the transmitter audio can be controlled via the Volume Control Ring, while the Bluetooth phone call volume can be controlled by the Multifunction Control Ring or on the Bluetooth device.
XBOX: In Xbox mode only, the Multifunction Control Ring will control the game/chat balance and the phone call volume will need to be adjusted on your Bluetooth device.
LISTENING TO MUSIC (MEDIA PLAYBACK)
To play a track, single press the ACTION SWITCH (B). To pause playback, single-press the ACTION SWITCH (B) again. To skip forward, slide the ACTION SWITCH (B) forward and release quickly. To skip backwards, slide the ACTION SWITCH (B) backwards and release quickly.
FOR OPTIMAL WIRELESS PERFORMANCE
NOTE: Prolonged listening at high volumes may adversely affect your hearing. Take breaks between sessions and always begin with the volume at a low level before increasing.
If no headset movement is detected for 5 minutes, the headset will automatically power off to conserve battery.
DOLBY ATMOS FOR XBOX SETUP
CORSAIR iCUE
Go to corsair.com/icue to download the CORSAIR iCUE software.
Using iCUE software will enable the full feature set of the VIRTUOSO MAX FOR XBOX headset. The USB Wireless Receiver must be connected to your PC to use iCUE software.
Note: If the headset is used without software, some features will be disabled.

VOLUME CONTROL
The VOLUME CONTROL RING (D) and MULTIFUNCTION CONTROL RING (E) can be used to separately control volume and can be configured within iCUE. By default, the VOLUME CONTROL RING (D) will control RF volume and the MULTIFUNCTION CONTROL RING (E) will control Bluetooth Volume.
NOTE: In Xbox mode, the controls will be locked to:
MICROPHONE CONTROL
Press the MIC MUTE BUTTON (I) to mute. Press the MIC MUTE BUTTON (I) again to unmute.
NOTE: iCUE software can also be used to control these features.
For best performance, bend the flexible microphone boom to best fit near the left corner of your mouth. We’ve found that a 30-degree bend is a good place to start, but feel free to increase or decrease this if your mic is too loud or too soft.
XBOX - If the mic boom is not connected to the headset while in Xbox mode, pressing the Custom button will default to microphone mute and unmute.
CHARGING
The CORSAIR VIRTUOSO MAX FOR XBOX headset must be fully charged before its first use.
The CORSAIR VIRTUOSO MAX FOR XBOX headset battery has no “memory effect”, so there is no need to completely discharge it before recharging.
Remember that the USB charging cable requires a high power (USB 2.0 or better) port. Some USB ports found on older devices do not support USB 2.0.

The LEDs will pulse while being charged and turn solid green at full charge. When not being charged, the LEDs will blink based on the power levels shown above.

BATTERY REMOVAL INFORMATION
This product uses a rechargeable battery and safety guidelines must be followed in the event that the product is disabled for the disposal and recycling. To safely remove the battery for disposal and recycling, follow the numbered steps with the below diagrams.
The power delivered by the charger must be between min 0.025 Watts required by the radio equipment, and max 2.15 Watts in order to achieve the maximum charging speed.
