iCUE LINK cables and Accessories explained

iCUE LINK is our new ecosystem that simplifies the PC building process by eliminating many of the wires you traditionally have to juggle, instead using a single connector for all devices. This creates an easier and tidier cable management experience.

Of course, there are many different configurations for a gaming PC build, so the distances between the components can vary considerably. Additionally, the spacing between these parts can be very tight. In order to address both of these issues, we’ve decided to make a wide variety of cables available. Here are all the cables and accessories you can use to perfect your next iCUE LINK build.

Right-angled connectors

First and foremost, we have cables with a right-angled connector. Clearance issues can happen in even the most meticulously planned builds, creating less-than-perfect workarounds, or sometimes making the specific combination of parts impossible. So, in order to lessen the potential of these two problems, we’ve made a variety of cables available with a low-profile right-angled connector on one end.

The 90-degree cables are available in 600mm and 200mm lengths, meaning that you’ll be able to cover long and short distances while taking advantage of the slim right-angled connector.

These are particularly helpful for connecting fans, as the end of a line of fans can often be right up against the inside of the case. Or, if you’re going the custom-cooling route, using a 90-degree connector is a great idea, as the iCUE LINK XD5 RGB Elite and XD5 RGB Elite LCD pumps both have their connectors on the side. So, instead of having to loop a normal cable around towards the motherboard tray, you can use a 90-degree cable that fits far more neatly.

100, 200, and 600mm options

For those less concerned with angles, we also offer regular iCUE LINK cables in 100mm, 200mm, and 600mm lengths. Being able to have a cable of the exact length you need will help put an end to having to loop cables around something or squashing them down to tidy up the slack.

Additionally, for people with less-than-conventional build configurations, we’re also offering a 600mm Y-splitter, so you can split a single iCUE LINK cable out to different locations in the case. With such a wide variety of cable types and lengths, the creative potential for showstopping iCUE LINK PC builds is vast.

Seamless fan connections

Of course, one of the most popular uses of iCUE will be for seamlessly connecting rows of fans together. All the power and data needs are covered by a single cable on one end. In order to accomplish this in the sleekest way possible, we use the slim universal iCUE LINK port with tiny connectors that connect one fan to the next, and on the other side, there’s a passive connection to add a bit of additional stability. The frames of the fans have built in magnets, which make it even easier to join multiple fans together.

It's worth noting that every iCUE LINK device you buy will come with enough connectors to work. PC building can be confusing though, and losing small parts can always happen. For that unfortunate inevitability, we’re offering an iCUE LINK Connector Kit, which comes with 5 active, and 5 passive connectors, so you’ll have plenty to spare.
