Can you change the fans on the CORSAIR A115?

The CORSAIR A115 is our newest high-performance air cooler. It is a great option for anyone looking to use a simple, low maintenance cooler while running some of the hottest CPUs on the market. The included fans are designed for static pressure, meaning that they won’t have trouble forcing air through the tight spaces between the A115’s heatsink fins. While the fans fill fit most users’ needs, some people might want to replace them, and they can! This is particularly important for RGB enthusiasts who find fans without lights to be an affront to your senses.

The A115’s fans are mounted on a Slide-and-Lock system, making them easy to adjust or remove entirely. This system is comprised of mounting points on the heatsink itself and a rail that is pre-installed on the fan. The rail is designed to hold a standard CORSAIR AF140 meaning that the dimensions are the same for any 140mm fan. It’s easily removeable with two standard screws and can then be simply remounted onto another fan. And just like that, the Slide-and-Lock system can be used with the new fan to reattach them.

While most 140mm fans should work, we recommend that you choose one that is optimized for static pressure. Also be mindful of the airflow. It’s recommended you work with the airflow in the rest of your case, typically taking in fresh air from the front and exhausting it towards the back. Finally, take note of any power or lighting cables coming off your fan. Fans in the front are already the most likely to be raised to account for RAM clearance so it’s where you would most likely see issues if you’re using a thicker cable like one for an iCUE LINK system.

So, if the inlcuded fans on the A115 don't fit your vibe, feel free to browse our selection of alternatives at our main website.
