Corsair 2000D Cooler compatibility

Those with a penchant for small form factor vertical PCs should consider the Corsair 2000D. It’s compact, easy to build in, and even accommodates the behemoth 40-series GPUs.

However, given it's tiny footprint some might be concerned about the Corsair 2000D's cooler compatibility. So, here’s a full rundown over everything you need to know, so you can cool with confidence.

We should note here that the Corsair 2000D cooler compatibility, and everything else about this case will remain identical, regardless of which variant you get. The only difference between the 2000D and 2000D RGB is that the latter comes with 3x preinstalled AF120 slim RGB fans. Now let’s talk about cooling.

Corsair 2000D cooler compatibility

For both variants of the Corsair 2000D, you have 90mm of clearance for CPU coolers. This means that our entire range of AIO CPU coolers will fit, aside from the 420mm ones. The 2000D is not compatible with 420mm radiators. Those who prefer air coolers will need to find one with a profile of less than 90mm. Additionally, our Hydro X series of CPU water blocks are also super slim, easily less than the 90mm profile limit, so a custom water cooling loop is possible here, too. Of course, you’ll need a radiator for a custom loop, so let’s go over the 2000D radiator compatibility, to help give you some ideas about your next custom loop.

Corsair 2000D radiator compatibility

For ease of building, and avoiding parts intersecting, we have designed the Corsair 2000D with a built-in radiator tray. This tray is compatible with 360mm, 280mm, 240mm, and 120mm radiators. You are of course free to experiment with other locations for radiators, too, as there are 3x 120mm fan mounts at the front, and 2x 120mm fan mounts at the back.

However, be careful about the GPU. With GPUs being so big these days, anything other than a super standard layout could create issues. So, we recommend using our AF120 slim RGB fans to maximize room, without sacrificing cooling. They’re only 15mm thick, which is 40% thinner than the standard 25mm fan thickness.

Despite the Corsair 2000D cases being only 458mm tall, 271mm long, and 200mm wide, there are many options here for cooling, whether you go AIO, air, or custom water cooling loop. Save some space today, with the Corsair 2000D.
