RTX 50-Series ROP Issues on our Pre-Built Systems: Official Statement

At CORSAIR / ORIGIN PC, we understand that our customers demand peak performance and reliability. In light of the recent issue regarding Nvidia's RTX 50-series ROP discrepancies, we want to assure our customers that we are taking proactive measures to ensure the integrity of every system we ship.

While reports indicate that this issue affects approximately 0.5% of RTX 50-series GPUs, we believe that any potential performance deviation is unacceptable. We must also be transparent and acknowledge that, initially, our testing procedures did not flag this specific ROP discrepancy during our production process. However, upon learning of this issue, we immediately implemented a thorough review of the detailed production reports for each system shipped to date. Matching the expected breadth of this issue, we have identified only one customer with an affected GPU and are actively working with them to provide a replacement.

We have since enhanced our rigorous, multi-stage testing protocol during system production to specifically validate the correct ROP count on all RTX 50-series GPUs.

Component-Level Validation:

Every graphics card, including those in the RTX 50 series, undergoes rigorous testing to confirm it meets the manufacturer's specifications, including the correct ROP count.

System-Wide Performance Benchmarking:

We subject each completed system to a series of intensive benchmarks to validate that it achieves the expected performance levels. This ensures that every component works in harmony to deliver an optimal gaming or professional experience.

Detailed Quality Control:

Our quality control process includes visual inspections, thermal testing, and stress testing to identify and eliminate any potential issues before shipment. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and ensuring our customers receive the performance they expect. We test every system to validate that specs and performance meet requirements.

To further demonstrate our commitment to your satisfaction, all of our systems are backed by lifetime tech support. If you've already purchased a PC from us with an NVIDIA RTX 50 Series card and it is missing ROPs, please contact us directly and we will ensure your issue is addressed as quickly as possible. Thank you.

How to Check if your Vengeance/OriginPC System is Affected

If you have a 50-series system from Corsair or OriginPC and want to double check your ROP count, here is how to check:

  • Make sure your GPU drivers are fully up to date.
  • Download and Install GPU-Z from the TechPowerUp website.
  • Run GPU-Z
  • When it opens, take a look at the number of ROPs/TMUs under the "Graphics Card" Tab. Check it against the stated ROPs below (Pay no attention to the number after the “/”. This is not relevant.)
  • If your system is affected you can contact our Technical Support team here
  • RTX 5090: 176
  • RTX 5080: 112
  • RTX 5070 Ti: 96
