1. Precaution: take care to discharge any electrostatic charges.
2. Power down your system.
3. Identify an available M.2 key M 2242 slot on your system, referring to your motherboard or system documentation.
4. Remove any cover from the M.2 slot and screws.
5. Insert and secure M.2 with screw, ensuring that stand off is mounted in the 2242 position. Please care not to overtighten the screw to avoid damage to the drive. Some systems may use clasps instead of screws to fasten the drive into position, please refer to your motherboard or system documentation.
6. Replace slot cover.
