If you care about the look of your system, then a Light Enhancement Kit could be the perfect solution for your build. These kits allow you to fill out your memory banks for a more complete system look at a fraction of the price of a full memory kit.
They're dummy modules, so contain no DRAM themselves, but they use the same materials as the full kits, so are indistinguishable from normal kits—at least they are when they're plugged in.
This is great if you only need a dual memory kit in your system, but your motherboard has four slots to fill. Alternatively, if you have a quad-kit in a motherboard that has eight slots, then a couple of kits can help you fill out those ranks for an impressive light show. That's right, as these use the same materials as the full kits, that means they have the same number of RGB LEDs as their corresponding kits and can be controlled in iCUE Software just like normal memory.
And as Light Enhancement Kits are important to the overall aesthetic of your system, you'll be delighted to discover that they're available in Black and White to perfectly match your actual memory.
If you look at the connecting edge of a Light Enhancement Kit and compare it to a corresponding stick of memory, you'll notice that not all the connecting pins are present. They simply aren't needed. This makes it easy to spot which sticks are which too.
We currently have Light Enhancement Kits that match VENGEANCE RGB PRO DDR4. We do have plans to release CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 Light Enhancement Kits in the future too, so keep an eye out if this is something you'd like to use in your build.
