Best PSU for RTX 5070 Ti

The RTX 5070 Ti is the exciting one in the RTX 50 series, as this card is not available as a Founders Edition directly from NVIDIA. Instead, you can get a card with this chip from your favorite brand with possibly different requirements. This also means that we have to take a closer look at the power demands and make sure to choose the right PSU to power your system.

Depending on which connector these cards use, we at CORSAIR have several solutions for you. It does not matter if the card you have picked uses the 12V-2x6 or relies on multiple PCIe 8-pin connectors. Heck, we even got you covered if there is a card that does both. Of course, we do not expect the cards to do this, but realistically we will see cards that use the 12V-2x6 for power.

First things first, let's take a look at the RTX 5070 Ti's system requirements, as provided to us by NVIDIA.

RTX 5070 Ti System Requirements

  • PCIe 5.0 x16 slot (For best performance)
  • 750W Power supply or greater.
  • 2x PCIe 8-pin cables (adapter in box) OR 300 W or greater PCIe Gen 5 cable

RTX 5070 Ti Power Requirements

The RTX 5070 Ti can be powered by a lower wattage power supply compared to its more powerful RTX 50-series siblings. It comes with a 300W TGP/TDP and therefore carries a 750W power supply recommendation.

Best PSU for RTX 5070 Ti: CORSAIR RM1000x

1000W will not only happily power your system with a RTX 5070 Ti, but also has enough room for a future upgrade. The RM1000x is ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 compliant and comes with a native 12V-2x6 connector. Leave the adapter cable in the box with your graphics card, you won't need it!

Best budget PSU for RTX 5070 Ti: CORSAIR RM750e

Let’s stick to the recommendation of a 750W PSU for the RTX 5070 Ti and pick the RM750e. Keep in mind that with future upgrades of your graphics card, processor, or when adding more components to your system, your systems power needs might change. If you plan to use this build for a few years though, there is nothing wrong with going for a 750W power supply. Budget does not mean its missing features. Of course, ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 as well as a native 12V-2x6 connector are on board.
