How to easily customize your RGB lighting in iCUE

With our new iCUE interface, we have also changed the category structure within an iCUE product to make it look cleaner.

We now make a clear cut between Software Lighting via iCUE and Device Memory Mode (formerly Hardware Lighting/Playback). You can find more detailed info about this in our Device Memory Mode article.

To help explain the new way of customizing RGB lighting in iCUE, we're going to show you how to set up software lighting for our RGB DRAM modules.

• select your CORSAIR RGB DRAM in the iCUE Main screen.

• Use 'DIMM Setup' to check if the order of the RGB modules in iCUE matches the order on the mainboard. If the RGB DRAM modules light up differently on the mainboard, adjust the order in iCUE by dragging and dropping them to match the order of the DRAM in your PC in real life.

• To select an RGB effect for all 4x RGB DRAM modules, click on the yellow button with the '+' symbol.
• In this example, we have chosen the 'Sequential' RGB effect as the 'Lighting Type'.
• Ensure that 'Quick Lighting Zone' is set to 'All', so that the 'Sequential' RGB effect is played on all 4x RGB DRAM modules.

• To enhance the individuality of your RGB lighting, you can create multiple "Lighting Layers".
• To do this, choose the 'Sequential' RGB effect and apply the 'Quick Lighting Zone' effect to only modules "DIMM#1" and "DIMM#3".
• To add another RGB effect, press the yellow button with the '+' symbol.
• In this example, select the 'Marquee' RGB effect.
  • Set this RGB effect for 'DIMM#2' and 'DIMM#4' in the 'Quick Lighting Zone'.
  • Now, you have two different RGB effects running on your CORSAIR RGB DRAM Kit.
