We sent KingBean a set of the CORSAIR ARGB PSU Cable Strips so he could unbox them and write up his first impressions. After this, everything is in his own words - including the disclaimer.
I was provided with these lighting strips free of charge as part of the CORSAIR INSIDER program so I could unbox them and write about them.
The box contains the CORSAIR ARGB PSU lighting strips and two accessory boxes. The accessory boxes contain a CORSAIR 3-pin to 3-pin ARGB converter, a multitude of securing clips, and manuals for warranty and compliance.
The CORSAIR ARGB lighting cable kit offers vibrant and eye-catching visuals. The black background on the RGB strip gives them a contrast against the bright colors defining them.
Also, there are a variety of clips that support single and dual cables, almost like cable combs, if you will, to secure the lighting strips against whichever cable you decide to connect them to, be it the 24-pin motherboard connection or the GPU connection. If you are feeling extra adventurous, you could even secure them to your AIO cooler tubes to make them stand out if that's your thing.
These require 1 x SATA power connector. You can either use the CORSAIR 3-pin connection or the provided converter, which converts the CORSAIR 3-pin into a 3-pin ARGB motherboard header, which is then controllable via your motherboard software.
If possible, I would like to see the use of three lighting strips to give full coverage from one kit in the future, although the price may be slightly higher. Still, you would then be able to use two on your PSU cable and one on the GPU cable, and you would have the possibility to use triple cable clamps if you decide to run across the entire width of your 24-pin motherboard connection.
